Questions

Things people usually ask.

And if it's not here, just write to us — we'd rather answer properly than leave you guessing.

When should I arrive?

Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. If you're arriving on an early flight, tell us — we'll hold your bags and you can start the day with breakfast and a swim.

Do I need to be good at yoga?

No. Most guests aren't, and several have never practised at all. Our teachers are used to complete beginners and adjust the room to whoever turns up.

Is anything compulsory?

Nothing. The daily rhythm is an offer, not a schedule. Plenty of guests sleep through the sunrise class and have a lovely week.

How do I get there?

Anahata is on Ashwem Beach beside Ajoba Temple, Mandrem, North Goa — about 45 minutes from Dabolim airport by taxi, or 90 minutes from Mopa. We can arrange a pickup if you send us your flight details.

What's the food like?

Beachside farm-to-table at AlchemyG — Goan and global plates cooked over fire, fresh juices, and much of it fermented in our own lab. Vegetarian and vegan are easy; tell us about allergies when you book.

Can you accommodate dietary needs?

Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and most allergies. Please tell us in advance so the kitchen can plan properly rather than improvise.

Is there wifi?

Yes — free wifi in the rooms and around the main house. It's good enough to work. We'd gently suggest you don't.

Is yoga included?

Yes. Daily yoga is complimentary for in-house guests. Classes suit beginners through to regular practitioners. Outside guests can ask about drop-in when mats are free.

Can I bring children?

Children are welcome, though Anahata is a quiet place by design and we don't have dedicated facilities for them. Rooms sleep up to 4.

What about the dogs?

There are several, they live here, and they're very well looked after. If you'd rather not be joined at breakfast, just tell us and we'll manage it.

How do cancellations work?

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival. Inside 48 hours, the deposit is retained. Retreats have their own terms — see Policies.
