Palm grove and nature at Anahata, Ashwem Beach North Goa

Our Nature

We take care of what takes care of us.

At Anahata, nature isn't just the backdrop — it's woven into every moment. Sand, sea and sky on Ashwem Beach; a sanctuary that first does no harm to the place it sits in.

Three quiet commitments.

The land came first, and we intend to leave it better than we found it.

01

Plant More Than We Clear

Native replanting and rewilded gardens, so the grove keeps growing back around us. Every booking adds trees to the Ashwem grove.

02

Tread Lightly

Solar power, harvested rainwater, no single-use plastic, and food grown or sourced within Goa. Built low, built local, built to last.

03

Protect What's Wild

Beach clean-ups, turtle-safe lighting through nesting season, and shelter for Ashwem's rescued and resident animals.

The GroveThe community around Anahata
Not a programme

The land, and everyone on it.

The dogs who sleep by the kitchen were not part of a plan. Neither were the crows, the kingfishers, or the family of otters in the backwater. They were here first. We simply built around them, and try not to be a nuisance.

If you'd like to help while you're here — a beach clean, a planting morning — just ask at the desk.

“A sanctuary that costs the earth isn't a sanctuary. It's just a nice hotel.”
